Special Events

Unity Spiritual Center Denver welcomes the use of its facilities by Unity Spiritual Center Denver members and other individuals or groups who support our mission.  We actively seek ways to utilize our building in fulfillment of our mission.

The building, equipment, furnishings and supplies are the property of the congregation and, therefore, shall not be used by any group or individual(s) without prior written approval or for any meeting or activity for personal gain.

Individual(s) or group(s) wishing to reserve the center should contact the office, who will get approval from the Spiritual Leader for single use events or the Council for multiple use events. If the Spiritual Leader has any questions for single use events, he/she will bring it to the attention of the Council. In all cases, the Spiritual Leader and Council reserve the right to refuse the use of the Center facilities. The Council reserves the right to cancel all usage agreements at any time without prior notice.

Memorial Services

We are honored to support families and loved ones in commemorating a life well lived. Whether you're seeking a spiritually grounded service, a secular remembrance, or something in between, Unity Spiritual Center Denver offers a peaceful space to gather, reflect, and celebrate.

Our spiritual leader is available to officiate the memorial, or you may bring your own officiant with prior approval from our Council. We will work closely with you to create a meaningful tribute that honors your loved one’s values, beliefs, and story.

Weddings

Our spiritual leader is available to officiate most weddings, or you’re welcome to bring someone meaningful to you (with the approval of our council). We’ll work with you to shape a ceremony that reflects your story, your values, and your love.

You may meet with our spiritual leader ahead of time to co-create something that feels true to you—religious, spiritual, secular, or somewhere in between. Pre-marital counseling is entirely optional.

You’re welcome to bring your own music or collaborate with our music director, who’s happy to support your vision. We also have professional soloists available if desired. Our spacious, air-conditioned sanctuary seats up to 330 guests and offers beautiful acoustics (you can view a photo on our home page). We offer private dressing rooms for each wedding party, each equipped with ample mirrors and electrical outlets—whether you're getting ready solo, with friends, or surrounded by chosen family.

Other Considerations

Time: We typically recommend a total of four hours for your wedding. This includes two hours for the ceremony itself and two additional hours that can be used for the rehearsal, pre-wedding preparations, and post-ceremony photographs. For most weddings—even large ones—this time frame works well. If you need more time, please let us know and we can arrange it before your ceremony.

Music: Our sanctuary features a beautiful Steinway grand piano, but you are welcome to use any other instrumental or recorded music you’d like. If you would like to include a soloist, we can connect you with professionals, or you can invite someone special to sing. Please keep us informed if you're planning to have a friend perform - so we can coordinate seamlessly.

Photographs: We encourage you to take photos before, during, and after the ceremony. If you have any preferences about how and when photos are taken, please let your photographer know in advance. We ask that any changes to the setup or arrangements be approved by our Wedding Coordinator, as any unapproved changes will be deducted from your damage deposit.

Florist: The center is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If your florist requires a different delivery time, please let us know, and we can work to make arrangements. All floral designs and decorations must be approved by the Wedding Coordinator to ensure everything is in line with the center’s guidelines.

Deposits: A deposit of $250 is required to secure your reservation. If you reserve by phone, please submit the deposit and signed contract within ten days. If we don’t receive your deposit, the date will become available to others. The balance is due three weeks prior to your wedding date. For weddings planned on short notice (less than 30 days), the full cost must be paid at the time of reservation. The deposit includes a $150 refundable cleaning/damage deposit. For weddings held outside the center, a $75 deposit is required, with the balance due two weeks prior.

Refunds: If you cancel your wedding and provide at least 30 days' notice, the full reservation deposit and cleaning/damage deposit will be refunded. If less than 30 days’ notice is given, you will receive half of the reservation deposit. Refunds for the cleaning/damage deposit will be issued within three weeks after your event, unless there are any charges for damages or additional cleaning. If there are extra charges beyond the deposit, you will receive a detailed accounting of those costs.

Policies

Alcohol & Smoking: No alcoholic beverages or intoxicating substances are allowed on the center’s premises.

Celebratory Items: We kindly ask that you refrain from throwing rice, confetti, birdseed, streamers, or any other items inside or outside the center. The one exception is silk flower petals during the ceremony. This policy helps us maintain the space for everyone’s enjoyment and safety, and we thank you for your cooperation. If these items are used, a cleaning charge will apply.

Fire Safety: Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building.
