“Our mission is not to entertain the children, but to call them out.

To be ‘called out’ is to follow the harmonious law of the soul’s unfoldment.” ~ Myrtle Fillmore

Due to Covid-19, we are not currently offering in-person Sunday morning experiences. We would love to connect with you via phone or e-mail. Contact us at childrensgarden@unitydenver.org or 303-756-6127.

Welcome to Youth and Family Ministry where we cultivate learning and spiritual growth through Facebook lessons, mailings, and other various safe experiences during Covid-19! Unity recognizes that there are many expressions of family life. All are welcome. Unity creates an affirming environment that fosters positive self-image, personal responsibility and unconditional love and acceptance. Unity:

  • Beholds all children as whole and perfect expressions of God.
  • Empowers children to fulfill their divine potential.
  • Teaches children to meditate and pray.
  • Invites children to experience a loving God.

Indeed, sharing a child’s spiritual path is an honor & privilege which we embrace with humility. We welcome all children into an experience filled with compassion ~ surrounded with enthusiasm ~ encouragement to express their divine nature ~ recognizing and honoring each one in their uniqueness ~ creating a safe space to live, move and have their being centered in God. We use a variety of Unity based curriculum enhanced with exciting, expressive, engaging activities woven into each lesson. With gratitude, we look forward to serving children & their families in these spiritual activities. Unity provides a strong spiritual foundation for children's lives.

Theme in The Children’s Garden for 2019 - 2020 : Be the Change

In the Children’s Garden, we cultivate the harmonious law of the soul’s unfolding within our Unity Youth. “Who meddles with the rosebud? What fingers are deft enough to pry open that marvel of folded beauty? We are wise enough to leave it alone to follow the glad law of its own unfolding…but our children! Have we dealt as wisely with these buds of marvelous possibilities?  …they, too, must quicken and unfold through the innate law of their own genius.” Myrtle Fillmore, Co-founder of Unity

In the Children’s Garden, Consciousness refers to an alert cognitive state in which you are aware of yourself and your situation, an “inner knowing”. “Divine ideas must be incorporated into our consciousness before they can mean anything to us….a mind filled with God thoughts such as power, strength (12 powers), generosity, purity, optimism…” Chas. Fillmore, Co-founder of Unity

We are currently offering online lessons via Facebook as well as spiritual craft mailings for grades preschool-5th grade. If you are interested in learning more about monthly mailings, please e-mail us at childrensgarden@unitydenver.org.

We invite you and your children to come be a part of a lively and vibrant experience!!

Purpose Statement

We provide a safe and loving environment where youth and all people are honored and embraced as God expressing uniquely as each person.

“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”  ~ Galatians 5:22

Volunteering in our Youth and Family Ministry Department

For socially distanced or at home volunteer opportunities during Covid-19, please contact Natalie at 303-756-6127 or e-mail childrensgarden@unitydenver.org.

Once we return to in-person services and classes: Our Youth & Family Ministry is staffed with 2 volunteers each Sunday in each age group.  To volunteer in our youth program:  fill out a Youth Ministry Volunteer Application.  We check references, complete background checks and each volunteer goes through a 2 hour training program (which is arranged around the volunteers availability/schedule).  We have quarterly volunteer meetings/trainings & support our volunteers as they continue on their spiritual path.  If you can’t download the form, come pick up an application in the Children’s Garden!
