Our Core Principles
-

One Power
There is one power in the universe, often called God or Love. It’s nature is absolute good, and it is present everywhere.
-

People Are Inherently Good
All people have a spark of divinity within them, therefore, all people are inherently good.
-

Way of Thinking Matters
We create our life experiences through our way of thinking.
-

Affirmative Prayer is Powerful
There is power in affirmative prayer. Prayer or meditation is creative thinking that heightens our connection with Divine wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.
-

Live the Principles
Knowledge of these spiritual principles is not enough. We must live them in our daily lives.
In Practice
Our mission to inspire authentic connection with the Divine, self, and others for spiritual growth, healing, and loving service in the world isn’t just an aspiration, it's something we practice together every day.
Authentic connection with the Divine includes gathering for meditation and prayer, exploring spiritual principles we can apply in our lives, and honoring the many ways people understand and experience a spiritual connection.
Authentic connection with ourselves means creating space for everyone's spiritual journey to be honored and where we support each other's growth without judgment.
Authentic connection with each other happens through genuine community, shared spiritual exploration, and acts of service that extend love beyond our walls and into the world.
When we gather for Sunday services, participate in classes and workshops, meet in small groups, or serve together in the community, we're building the spiritually awakened world we envision. One connection, one conversation, one act of love at a time.
Creating Sacred Space Together
We are a sanctuary where everyone can explore their spiritual path safely. Unity Denver is LGBTQ+ affirming and welcomes people of all backgrounds, abilities, economic circumstances, and identities. We honor the divine in every person.
To maintain this sacred space for all, we ask that everyone who enters our community commit to treating others with dignity and respect. We do not tolerate hate speech, harassment, or behaviors that threaten the safety and wellbeing of our community members. Love and respect are not just our teachings, they are our practice.
About the Unity Movement
Unity was co-founded by Myrtle and Charles Fillmore in the late 19th century as part of the New Thought Movement. Today, Unity welcomes people who identify as spiritual but not religious, those who feel a deep connection to their inner being, and anyone who celebrates the awareness of a power greater than themselves.
At Unity, we explore new ways of understanding the force of love and intelligence that many call God. While our roots are in Christianity, we draw upon the universal wisdom found at the heart of all the world's religions.
Our Commitment to Community
Unity believes that all people are created with sacred worth. Therefore, at Unity Denver, we recognize the importance of serving all people in spiritually and emotionally caring ways. We strive to reach out to all who seek support and spiritual growth. We welcome and embrace all people.
