Are you living true to yourself- today? Right now?
In her latest book, Radical Compassion, one of the most beloved and trusted mindfulness teachers in America, Tara Brach, offers us a lifeline for difficult times. The practice of the RAIN meditation awakens our courage and heart!
In this heartfelt and deeply practical book, she offers an antidote: an easy-to-learn four-step meditation that quickly loosens the grip of difficult emotions and limiting beliefs. Each step in the meditation practice (Recognize, Allow, Investigate, Nurture), is brought to life by memorable stories shared by Tara and her students as they deal with feelings of overwhelm, loss, and self-aversion, with painful relationships, and past trauma.
Through the practice they uncover step-by-step the sources of love, forgiveness, compassion, and deep wisdom alive within all of us.
For most of us, if we are honest, there are parts of ourselves, or our experience of life that we are not all that happy with. We may know them as those pesty, reoccurring difficulties or habitual limiting beliefs. Often we tend to judge those aspects quite harshly or deny them all together. What if we were to meet them with compassion and understanding? Once we learn to offer this to ourselves, it is much more likely that we can offer it to the world, at large.
Join us as we study the book together and explore what it means to really live a life that is true to yourself by learning to use this mindfulness practice and apply it to our own life experiences.
